Dear Sungold Organic Customers,
It is with deep regret that we inform you that we have lost another flock of chicken. The loss of the complete flocks around Eid ul Fitr and this month has set us back by over Rs 2,500,000. An operation of our size can ill afford such large losses.
We will be taking a pause to rethink our processes, methods and procedures to see if there are lapses that are causing these mortalities. Further, we must assess if we can stay well within the realm of organic agriculture providing you seamless product supply and service. Unfortunately that has not been the case of late and both of us are greatly disturbed and disappointed. Please accept our apologies for our failure to do so in the recent past.
Finally, we are considering switching to a hardier breed that can be range fed. We will need to generate additional funding to restart if that is found possible and feasible.
Your feedback on the latter will be very helpful.
